Not Every Wind Farm...

Not every wind farm has a resident artist - so I was lucky to have the opportunity to work with Vattenfall UK at their 76 wind turbine site in South Wales. I had developed a relationship with staff there over a 4 year year period which culminated last Summer in my 'official' residency.

I had temporary use of the former education hut on site to use as my studio, which I though was perfect as the wind and weather generally can be unkind and unpredictable. As it turned out the Summer was a very hot and dry one and the hut was a welcome place of shade and shelter.


I was even featured in a very short film which 'aired' on Vattenfall social media this week. I was delighted & embarrassed to see and hear myself, but it really encapsulates this wonderful experience succinctly:
