The Mob Evolving From The Lined Page

My large lined notebook is for words - but my pencil doesn't seem to care about that. I thought that it was important to split my text and drawings up with the text & written research going into a large lined notebook and my drawings in various blank paged sketchbooks.

But I realise that I can't be that prescriptive.

When thoughts and ideas come - my pencil doesn't see the lines...

but then again maybe it does...

I wanted the crowds of chanting fans to become more abstract so they became a more menacing sea of hostility. I looked at using the shape of a football for heads and I remembered from my research that many of the old leather footballs were constructed from bands of leather. Perhaps I was nudged towards this thinking by the lines on the paper? Lines are for crossing right?
